Today was our Pre-Region race. I started the day with a mile and a half warm up with Voung and Caden. We tried to stay on flat areas as much as we possibly could. Then we lined up for ever because they kept postponing our race so we went and got water. So finally the gun goes off and we start. My goal for today was to get a much better first mile and start than we did at the Settlement Canyon one. So we started and I got a way good start. I was with Voung for almost the entire race. Our first mile was 6:16. I think that was way good and for my goal time that was was fast. So we tried to stay at that pace. He sped up a bit so I let him go. He got away from me on the downhills but I caught back up to him on all of the uphills. When we hit the 2 mile mark I didn't look at my watches time but our pace was 6:55 so I said lets pick up the pace so we did. When we got to going up bessy we were about 100 meters behind Dakota. But when we got to the top of bessy we were with him. All three of us gave up mentally at that point. So we took the downhill as a recovery and then we booked it in. We gave everything we had left. Then when we were done Bev had otter pops for us at the finish line:) Thank you so much and Caden had cookies for us... Thank you so much!!!!!!!! Then I did a slow mile and a half cooldown.
