2 miles in the morning because we have a late start. Then off to study Biology.

PM: Today for cross country we had our first speed, real speed workout of the season. So we started with about a mile warm up then a mile of speed changes. Then we stretched and changed our shoes. So then Bill told us our groups. My group was Voung, Kevin, Me, Abigail, and Sarah. So we were supposed to hit 3 minutes on each 800. The workout was 8 800s with a 400 in between as recovery. So we lined up, Bill broke us up, Natalie, Tomy, Dakota, Taylor, RJ, and Scott and my group was in the first group then like 30 seconds or something later is when everyone else went. So we started and our first 800 was 2:58. Then the times went 2:59, 3:00, 3:00, 2:59, 3:02, 3:01, 3:03. The last one I was absolutely dyeing. Our group pretty much stayed all together except for the last one when Voung and Kevin broke away from us and I just couldn't stay with them. The workout was not that hard but it was a real mental block for me, it was hard to think I have 7 more or 5 more or something. The physical part wasn't hard but the mental part was the killer. I'm glad I did the whole workout and not wuss out because this proves I can do 4 miles at roughly 6 minute pace so now I just need to do the 5Ks at that pace. Then for a cooldown I did 1.25 miles at the track with Andy and Caden. Then I totally forgot my locker combo and couldn't remember it for the life of me so I had to have Bill tell it to me. Then I got a delicious slurpee. Today was a good workout for me I just need to learn to push through things and stay with Voung because I know that I could have stayed with him today on that last one. Here is my blog. I was stupid and I didn't turn my garmin on for the recovery laps and on the cooldown because I accidently held down the button that turns it off instead of pressing lap.
